Many people are not aware of the fact that they can also bake a cake without an oven. You can use a pressure cooker in place of an oven to bake a cake. In this blog, I will provide you with step-by-step guidance on how to bake a cake in a pressure cooker without an oven. You can use any ordinary cooker in this process.
Step 1: – Take a cooker and spread some salt in it to make a thin of salt inside the cooker. It will help in controlling the temperature inside the vessel, which is very crucial for baking a cake.
Step 2: – Now, Put the metal stand inside the pressure cooker which will maintain the distance between the container containing the mixture of the cake and the bottom surface of the cooker.
Step 3: – Prepare the mixture of the cake and put it into a small container after greasing its surface with the oil or butter. You can also use butter paper so that cake doesn’t stick to the surface of the container.
Step 4: – Preheat the cooker for 5 minutes before putting the mixture of the cake in the pressure cooker.
Step 5: – Remove the gasket and whistle from the lid of the pressure cooker and close the lid of the pressure cooker to bake the cake.
Step 6: – Lower the heat to the medium and bake the mixture for at least 20-25 minutes.
Step 7: – Lower the heat and check if the cake is baked properly or not by putting a toothpick in the centre of the mixture. If it comes out clean the cake is ready if not then cook it again for -5 minutes.
Step 8: – Now remove the baked cake let it get cool for some time and then dress it in fresh whipped cream or anything you like.

- Note: Always use a container smaller in diameter as compared to the cooker and place it carefully inside the cooker.
